Home Uses for Wifi-Controlled RGB LED Strip Lights

Business Blog

A popular way that many homeowners are upgrading the look of their homes is to use Wi-Fi-controlled RGB LED strip lights. These lights can be controlled through a wireless system and, in many cases, remote control. If you are considering this type of lighting for your home but aren't sure where to start, here are a few of the ways you can use Wi-Fi-controlled RGB LED strip lights.

Child's Nursery

Many younger children, especially toddlers, have issues with the dark. Strip lights can be placed along the top of the room just below the ceiling. They can run around the length of the room, offering a soft light throughout the night. You can also change the brightness level of the strip lights if needed. The benefits of these kinds of lights over other nursery lights are that they do not have wires that a child could get caught in and they do not get hot, which reduces the chance of burns or fire-related issues.

Hallway Lighting

One of the darkest areas in a home is usually the hallway. You may have a hallway light, but leaving it on during the night may not be an option. With that in mind, you can use Wi-Fi-controlled RGB LED strip lights. These lights can be run along the bottom of the hallway walls on one side, the other side, or both sides. They can be controlled through voice. This means that you can turn them on as you come out of a room to go to the bathroom, the kitchen, or another room. You can also activate them with your smartphone if you do not want to disturb other people in the home.

Kitchen Lighting

An issue for many homeowners is lighting underneath the cabinets in the kitchen. Though there are under-cabinet lights, many of them run on batteries, and it may be time-consuming to install or change the batteries in them. With a Wi-Fi RGB LED light option you can run the strips of light underneath the cabinets. It takes up little room and will still offer you the light that you need. As with the lights and any other portion of the home, you can operate the strip lights on your phone or with voice activation.

If you are considering Wi-Fi RGB LED strip lights, then contact your local lighting supplier. They will have several strip lights available to you. Some of the lights are one color, while others may have multiple colors with a remote control option. Make sure that, when you are buying Wi-Fi-based strip lights, your phone or tablet that you will be using is compatible. The compatibility of the strip lights will be located on the box light kit.
